COVID-19 Procedures & Precautions
Temporary Operating Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday.
We have a membership with DIS.IN.FX for on-going professional sanitation services at our school.
Our classroom sizes are kept at the smallest possible ratios yet always under the ratios suggested by licensing.
All adult staff wears masks while at the school. All children remain in the same classroom with the same teachers each day. At this time, we do not combine children in the same room unless absolutely necessary in the beginning and end of the day. Each teacher is required to stay in their designated classroom for the duration of their shift and not to enter other rooms unless approved by the Director.
Drop-Off and Pick-up take place outside on the front porch to eliminate adults coming through our facility besides our staff.
At drop-off: Parents stand behind the red tape on the walkway toward our front door. We receive child and stand at least 6 feet away from the parent/guardian. We ask the parent/guardian to confirm that the child does not have fever, shortness of breath, cough, vomiting or nausea.
We take each child’s temperature with a no-contact thermometer. A reading above 100.4, will result in child having to return back to parent. After the child has been accepted into the school, we will direct them to wash their hands upon entering the classroom.
At pick-up: Once a parent has arrived, a staff member will notify the child's teacher, and the child will gather their belongings and walk together with staff the front door where they will be release to their parent.
Sick Policy: Any illness symptoms such as fever, shortness of breath, cough, vomiting or nausea will result in denial of entry to school and the child will be asked to stay home until a doctor clears them to return to school. We ask that if a child has fever, they will remain at home until they have been fever free for 72 hours and cleared by their doctor to return. Most pediatrician will complete a COVID-19 test in order to clear children at this moment.
