Ms. Alex joined Young Minds Montessori as the Lead Guide in Primary 2 and brings several years of experience working with children ages 3–6 in Montessori classrooms. She began her Montessori journey in 2021 as an intern and went on to earn her American Montessori Society (AMS) certification through the Montessori Education Center of the Rockies.

Before discovering Montessori education, Ms. Alex worked in a play-based preschool setting, where her passion for teaching first began to grow. She holds a background in psychology and child development from the University of Utah and found that the Montessori philosophy deeply aligned with both her educational foundation and personal values.

As a former Montessori student herself, Ms. Alex feels a meaningful connection to Maria Montessori’s scientific, child-centered approach. She is passionate about fostering independence, curiosity, and confidence in every child she guides.

Outside the classroom, Ms. Alex enjoys practicing yoga, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with her two cats. She feels honored to support each child’s academic and developmental journey and looks forward to building strong partnerships with families.
